Over the break I decided to finally try to make my own almond milk. It’s super easy. All you need is a milk bag. You can purchase this at any health food store. Keep in mind that this is a 2 day process.
Paleo | Diary Free | Gluten Free
- 2 cup Almonds
- 4-5 cups water
- 3-6 Dates (optional)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)
- Soak nuts overnight 12-24 hours
- Drain and place in a high speed blender with 4-5 cups of waters. Add optional ingredients if desired.
- Place nut bag in a jug. Pour in your almond milk and gently squeeze.
Makes approximately 700ml.
Use in smoothies or your homemade Paleo granola.
Tip: The more water you add, the less creamy.
