Recipe: How to make your own Almond Milk?

Over the break I decided to finally try to make my own almond milk. It’s super easy. All you need is a milk bag. You can purchase this at any health food store. Keep in mind that this is a 2 day process.

Paleo | Diary Free | Gluten Free

Ingredient:

  • 2 cup Almonds
  • 4-5 cups water
  • 3-6 Dates (optional)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Soak nuts overnight 12-24 hours
  2. Drain and place in a high speed blender with 4-5 cups of waters. Add optional ingredients if desired.
  3. Place nut bag in a jug. Pour in your almond milk and gently squeeze.

Makes approximately 700ml.

Use in smoothies or your homemade Paleo granola.

Tip: The more water you add, the less creamy.
