Homemade Hommus with the Thermomix

Went to a party last weekend. What else to bring but homemade Hommus. Please note that this recipe is not Paleo. I will try to create a Paleo version soon 🙂

You won’t believe how super easy this recipe is. It’s one from the Official Thermomix book. A food processor can be used. No cooking is required.

Gluten Free

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 400g can chick peas
  • 40g Lemon juice (fresh lemon)
  • 2 Tablespoon Tahini
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Chop garlic for 5 seconds on speed 7
  2. Add all ingredients and mix for 1min on speed 4 or until desired consistency is achieved. For a course dip us 20-30 seconds.

Serve with crackers or spread it on your bread of choice. The lemon juice makes it much more refreshing. For a nice presentation sprinkle some paprika or place a few twigs of coriander. Unfortunately I did not have any.
